First, I have to start with a huge "thank you" to all of you for a wonderful year as your president! It has been more fulfilling than I can ever tell you. It is funny I keep getting asked, "Oh aren't you ready for this to be over?" And you know what? I really am not ready for it to be over! I have had such a great time being a part of a wonderful leadership team and accomplishing all that we have achieved in 2009. I actually have a lump in my throat writing this last letter. I know, I know I am too sentimental, but you have all touched my life in a special way and I know I am a better person for knowing you.
You should each be very proud of being a member of an awesome group of women and a unique opportunity that we have in being a division of the Mansfield Chamber of Commerce. I am not sure if you are aware, but it is very rare to find a women's division within most chambers.
Embrace that uniqueness and get more involved to keep this great organization alive. What is the old saying? Use it or Lose it? Use this chance to bolster your business and create more personal and career growth.
Thank you to the 2009 Board members: Bonnie Dickey, Christy Drewery-Ferm, Gwendolyn Durant, Marilyn Gerloff, Amy Husk, Lisa Lambert, Lucretia Mills, Ann Monroe, Maria Mumme, Billie Russell, Daphna Simpson, Deborah Su, Diane Tejeda, Cathie Trimble, Heather Wickstrom and Joyce Williams.
This letter is coming to you a little early but there are a couple of things that need to be brought to your attention so that you can put it on your "TO DO LIST".
1. Monthly Luncheon is at 11:30 on December 17, 2009 at the Walnut Creek Country Club. New Officers will be inducted. We will vote on Woman of the Year and Heather has some wonderful entertainment planned for us. It will be a sit down, served luncheon. This is always a special meeting so be sure to plan on being there and invite a friend to enjoy this holiday event with us.
2. Bring an unwrapped toy to the luncheon for the KTVT Cowboy Santa Toy Drive. KTVT was gracious in allowing Karen Borta to speak to us at no charge, and this is a way of our thanking them. The toys will be delivered that night at the KTVT celebration at Sundance Square the evening of the 17th.
3. Be sure to bring a door prize if it is your birthday month in December and, of course, if you just want to bring a door prize everyone is welcome to do so.
4. Please remember that ONLY sponsors for the month are allowed to place items on the tables
Congratulations to the 2010 Board Members: Donna Ciarkowski, Teresa Cohagen, Jenny Conrad, Bonnie Dickey, Victoria Dodd, Gwendolyn Durant, Marilyn Gerloff, Lisa Lambert, Lucretia Mills, Ann Monroe, Tessa Pierce, Deborah Su, Diane Tejada, Cathie Trimble, Denise Washburn, Katie Watson, Heather Wickstrom and Lezlee Liljenberg.
Best Wishes to You and Yours for a Safe and Happy Holiday season. Remember to take time for yourself and embrace all that is important to you. We all get in a hurry and forget the true meaning of the season. It is about Christmas and celebrating God and the birth of our Lord Jesus. No matter your religion, your spiritual fortitude or beliefs, the bottom-line is to love our friends and family(maybe even forgive our foes) and be thankful for all that we have. Looking forward to seeing you in 2010. Happy New Year!
Sincerely,
Lezlee Liljenberg, President
Mansfield Women's Division

Why did you join the Women’s Division? The Women’s Division is a great place to get acquainted with the Mansfield Business Community and give back. When I first moved to Mansfield in 1993, I wanted to get involved. Mansfield is indeed a great community and there is no better way of giving back then through the Women’s Division of the Mansfield Area Chamber of Commerce.
