February 2010 - Notes from the President

February is the Month of Love and Giving.

As I type this up I am sitting near a window and gazing at the amazing beauty of the snow falling from the sky. We are blessed to have this winter wonderland here in North Texas-now I do realize it does cause some havoc for traveling and such-but if we just stop and take in the beauty---well, I think we can all agree, it's just simply beautiful. And as I feel we are blessed to receive this gift, I am also equally thrilled that we will be giving away so many "gifts" at our next luncheon.

This is the one. The luncheon where we invite the various charity groups that we have chosen to help this coming year. We worked diligently last year to raise funds to help these groups, and now, we are able to present them with a donation and help them achieve their goals. Please join the board in these presentations. You will be richly blessed by having seen how far our funds really go. Our time and efforts all lead up to this event-when we can give to others.

Our budget is done, our goals are set high, we will once again begin the process of planning for our Style Show and Tour of Homes fundraisers to continue this plan of giving. Please make sure you fill out a form and decide which event you would like to be a part of. This is your opportunity to give a little-yet in the long run, you receive so much. You are part of this wonderful group of professional women who can do so much good in the community. And please remember to share with your friends all about Women's Division and how they can also have to the opportunity to join our membership.

I look forward to seeing you at the luncheon and perhaps you will shake the hand of one of our recipients-get to know a little bit more about their projects and their needs. And know that you have helped in some small way.

One person caring about another represents life's greatest value. - Jim Rohn
